| Obituary: |
Nicolas F. Mongello, entered into eternal rest February 6, 2010. Residing in Edison, NJ, he had been a winter visitor to Marco Island since 1988. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. In 1968 he earned a BSEE degree from Cooper Union NY, NY, and in 1973, he received a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University, School of Law, Newark, NJ. He started practicing law in Plainfield, NJ, in 1973, and founded the firm Mongello & Marshall, now Mongello & Scialabba in Edison, NJ. In 1978 he helped found TRICAT Radiology, and served as CEO until 2007. Following the sale of the business, he began spending more time in Marco Island. With his family opened Mongello’s Restaurant in 2008 in Naples. He is survived by his wife Marianne; sons Louis Arthur (Deanna) Mongello and Fred Dominick Mongello both of Naples; grandchildren, Marion Rose and Nicolas Peter. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and the many patrons at “Nick’s Place”. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 9, at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Palm Royale Cemetery.
