Captain James Leslie Nolton has taken his final flight, Captain Jim to his closest friends. Captain Jim 75 of Marco Island, FL passed away February 3rd, 2010.
Born Nov. 12, 1934 to Gweneth & Herbert Nolton in Anderson, IN, Jim was a professional pilot who loved airplanes and flying his entire life. He was a former US Air Force Officer and a retired Pilot with Eastern Airlines and more recently ATA airlines.
He was a Past Worshipful Master of the Tamiami Trail Masonic Lodge number 262 with over 25 years of service. Jim was known for his love of family, friends, dogs, and all things mechanical. He was respected by all fellow pilots who knew him, an avid woodworker and craftsman who devoted his life to aviation and family.
He is survived by his Mother, Gweneth Nolton, Franklin, IN, his sister Nadean Hensley, Anderson, IN and his 4 children, Karen Nolton-Cox (Tim) of Cape Coral, FL, Lisa Wright (Terry) of Marietta, GA, Matthew Nolton (Roxann) of Naples, FL and Tracy Nolton of Denver, CO, as well as by his 6 Grandchildren, Kelsie and Lauren Wright of Marietta, GA and Lauren Nolton-Smith, James Ryan Nolton, Christina Nolton, and Kristin Nolton all of Naples, Fl. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be held privately.
