Obituary:
Dr. James Michael Nolz, 45, a Naples, Florida resident and South Lee County Chiropractor died Friday, June 27, 2008 as a result of a tragic car accident on his way to a class for Manipulation under Anesthesia.
James was born August 28, 1962 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He graduated from Marion High School in 1981. He married Julie Burns on November 22, 1986. He received his doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1987. Together, they opened Chiropractic Plus in Bonita Springs, FL - a 20 year practice. Dr. Nolz was a well respected member of the medical community.
James is survived by his wife, Dr. Julie Burns-Nolz; three children, Matthew J. (18), Austin J. (15) and Haley M. (13); his parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Nolz of Marion, IA; brother, Dr. Jason Nolz and wife Sara, and children Justin, Jordan and Sierra (Manchester Iowa); brother, Dr. Jared Nolz and wife Shelly, and children, Christopher, Jacob and Logan (Lisbon, IA); sister, Andrea Secrist and husband, Ryan (Stamford, CT); his in-laws, Robert and Shirley Burns of Bonita Springs; Major Mark Burns of Stafford, VA; Robin Grimm, Bob Burns, Tammy Grchan, Amy Allison, Vic Batten, and Cheri Emery; and many nieces and nephews.
James enjoyed spending time with his kids and watching them at their sporting activities. James was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and weight lifting with his children.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 750 Seagate Dr., Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Nolz Family Memorial Trust Fund at any Bank of America.
